Blue Slush Strain Genetics

Based on the logo, typeface, and jar, we think Blue Slush Strain is a reference to the classic blue icee that we grew to adore in our intro. The flavor, more particularly, is Icee’s The Original Blue Raspberry.

So how did we get to Seven Leaves? What is the lineage of these strains? Blue Slush is a cross between two popular new school cultivars, Sherbert, Cookies and Gelato.

Blue Sherbert

Blue Sherbert is the product of a crossing of Blue Cookies and Sunset Sherbert from The Plug Genetics. Beautiful lime green and purple buds are on offer. Sweet aromas include blueberry and citrus, which will leave your mouth watering as you contemplate higher things.

Blue Cookies

Blue Cookies is an indica-dominant hybrid cross between two celebrity strains, Girl Scout Cookies and Blueberry. As the offspring of these heavyweight champions, Blue Cookies delivers a heavy punch of euphoria straight to the head, where it swiftly descends to unwind the entire body. Strawberry and earthy cherry notes meld in a taste profile as delicious as the thick frosty coating that covers sizzling colors of green and purple. Blue Cookies should be approached with caution by novices, but this strain’s strength is ideal for tough-to-please veterans. Another variety of Blue Cookies, a Girl Scout Cookies variety lacking the Blueberry genes, may be found.

Sherbert

The strain was created by crossing Girl Scout Cookies with Pink Panties and is also known as “Sherbert,” “Sunset Sherbet,” “Sunset Sherbert,” and other names. This strain has strong, full-body effects that are bolstered by a jolt of cerebral energy and a carefree attitude. Sherbet has a THC concentration of 18% and may be overwhelming for first-time users. Sherbert is a high-THC strain with a unique flavor profile that combines sweet and berry tastes. It provides excellent pain relief while also encouraging feelings of euphoria, which makes it ideal for medical cannabis users looking to alleviate stress, tension, and mood disorders symptoms. This variety has notes of skunky citrus, sweet berry, and candy in its sweet, dessert-like flavor profile. The average price per gram of Sherbert is $20. Sherbert flowers into oblong fluffy nuggets with a lot of trichomes and light amber hairs throughout light and dark green leaves, according to growers. Mr. Sherbinski developed this strain by crossbreeding Sherbert on purpose to acquire the genetic line of its parent strain Girl Scout Cookies.

Appearance

When attempting to describe the look of Blue Slush Strain colas, we got stumped. They have it all: a thick layer of beautifully formed, resinous trichome crystals with a few orange hairs. At the same time, the buds are a beautiful blend of light and dark green hues with purple highlights here and there.

Aroma

The fragrance, however, was the tipping point for me. It was the scent that allowed me to quickly and simply reply, “Can cannabis have a Blue Icee smell?” It turns out that it is true. This revelation totally blew me away.

The Blue Slush’s fragrant blooms have a complex aroma that transports me back to my childhood, when I first walked into the K-Mart. The fragrance had a forward Blueberry and Blue Raspberry scent with floral and earthy undertones.

The Inhale and The Exhale

The exhale, in particular, contrasted significantly from the inhale. Both berry flavors complement one another well; however, the exhale took a chilly refreshing turn whereas the inhale was a forward blueberry palette emphasized with light floral and earthy notes.

Was the flavor profile consistent with that of the icee Seven Leaves is attempting to recapture? Yes, we believe the combination of blueberry and creamy raspberry notes had a lot in common with the original blue raspberry ice.

The Smoking Experience

We appreciated the smoking experience. Both the inhale and exhale were very smooth, with the creamy exhalation adding to the smoothness. The flowers burned to a bright white ash, which was also worth noting.

The High

The potent Indica has a pleasant heavy in the couch high. The high was ideal for chilling and unwinding, but it could also be utilized to alleviate pain and stimulate your appetite.

Blue Slush Strain has chemicals that can have an effect on your brain and body. It may be addictive and yet harmful to some people’s wellbeing, as well as causing intoxication.
